Meridian Vehicle Solutions offers a range of different finance options to help put customers throughout Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes and Watford behind the wheel of their dream car with our personal car leasing. Our options include Personal Contract Purchase, Personal Contract Hire and/or Hire Purchase (or Conditional Sale).
As with all financial agreements, you will need to pass a credit check in order to finalise the contract. This relies upon you having a good credit history.
A PCP contract is typically for 2-4 years. Under the contract, customers agree to a mileage limit for the term and pay a deposit. The monthly payment will be lower than with hire purchase or a conditional sale, as customers are only covering the estimated depreciation over the term. Customers can own the car at the end of the agreement if they pay the final (or balloon) payment. Customers can also choose to simply return the car at the end of the contract provided it is in good condition *see our FAQ’s page for return standards. The monthly payments are usually higher than with Personal Contract Hire, but customers get the flexibility to keep the car at the end of the contract or to settle it early.
Personal Contract Hire (or PCH) for used cars is becoming increasingly popular due to the long delivery times on new cars. Customers can set the term, initial payment and annual mileage to achieve a monthly payment that fits their budget.
Personal Contract Hire is a method of car leasing that involves paying fixed monthly payments to drive a vehicle for an agreed period. Usually, PCH contracts are 2-5 years long, and at the end of the agreed contract customers simply hand the keys back and begin the hunt for their next vehicle.
Hire Purchase (or HP) or Conditional Sale is a very popular and flexible way to acquire the vehicle customers want and to take ownership of it once the value has been fully repaid. Hire purchase is similar to a bank loan that is secured against the value of the car, as once the repayments have been completed, the customer will own their vehicle.
The lessee will pay a deposit to secure their car, and then repay the full balance over their preferred term. Once the repayments have been completed, the customer will own their car outright.
